1 · Getting started

Create your account

1. Open i-handler.app and tap Register.
2. Enter your email and password (twice), and choose I'm a pilot in the selector (passengers pick I'm a passenger and get a simplified app).
3. Tap Create Account — by doing so you accept the linked Privacy Policy.
4. Complete your profile (next section). Every field and image marked in red is required.
5. New pilot accounts are reviewed; if you see the approval-pending screen, wait for the i-Handler team to activate you. You'll then land on Flight Schedules, your home screen.

2 · One-time setup

Your profile and documents

You load each document once; every permit request, manifest and form afterwards reuses them automatically.

1. On Complete your profile, upload the images that apply: Passport data page, Pilot License front and back, Medical Certificate, Driver License.
2. Tap Scan Passport MRZ: point the camera at the two machine-readable lines of your passport — the app fills your passport number, names, nationality, dates automatically. Review and confirm.
3. Use Scan Pilot License and Scan Medical Certificate the same way — the medical expiry is even computed from FAA/ICAO rules by class and age, for you to verify.
4. Fill your status (PIC, COP, MEC, MED, ODC, 1FA), personal address, address in the USA (the Same Address button copies it), CBP credentials if you file eAPIS, and an emergency contact.
5. Tap Submit Profile Information. You can edit everything later from My Account → Profile Settings.

3 · One-time setup

Your aircraft

1. Menu → Aircraft → +.
2. Upload the aircraft picture, airworthiness certificate and registration certificate.
3. Type the registration and tap FAA Autofill (N-Number) — model, serial and manufacturer fill themselves — or Scan Reg / AW Certificate to read them from the paper document with the camera.
4. Complete the ICAO flight-plan profile once: flight rules, surveillance, equipment, PBN, wake category, survival equipment, dinghies. Every future ICAO FPL is generated from this.
5. Add the insurance (company, policy number, expiry date, policy images) and tap Create Aircraft.

5 · Flying

Create a flight

1. Tap + on the home screen.
2. Departure & Arrival: search each airport by ICAO, set date and local time — UTC fills itself (AUTO).
3. Pick the Type Of Flight, and optionally alternate airport, speed, flight level, remarks. Tap Get route (AIP) to generate the route point-to-point.
4. Add Overflight Countries (OFLP permits) for every country you'll overfly — 16 countries have their official form automated (Anguilla, Austria, Bahamas, Belize, Bermuda, Bolivia, Chile, Guatemala, Honduras, Micronesia, Namibia, Nicaragua, Oman, Seychelles, Uganda, Venezuela).
5. Select Aircraft, Operator, FBO or Handler, Pilot in Command / Second in Command, and your passengers (or create new ones on the spot).
6. Check the Resume card, add extra legs with Add New Leg if needed, then either Save Flight (draft — finish later, no charge) or Request Flight Documents (see Live filings).

Sending the paperwork

• Overflight & Landing Permit Request — a formal email to the civil aviation authority, pre-written in the official A/–S/ format with your GENDEC, flight info and country form attached. You preview everything before sending.
• FBO | Handler Service Request — the ground-handling request email to your FBO/handler with the full document pack.
• CREW | Flight Documents — sends the whole kit to your crew.

8 · People

Passengers and crew

1. Menu → Passengers (or Pilots for crew) → +. Search first — the app reminds you to check whether the person already exists.
2. Tap Scan Passport MRZ, confirm the extracted data, add contact and address details, and Create Profile.
3. Saved people are reusable on every future flight. The person-add icon on a row sends them a consent-request email so they manage their own data in the app.
4. Passengers get their own app experience: trip information before and during the flight, their immigration QR, and direct messaging with you.

9 · Resources

Airports, FBOs and handlers

• Airports — search by ICAO/IATA/name; details include frequencies, contacts per service (tower, customs, immigration, PPR, AIS…), hours, fuel, fire category and remarks.
• FBO's / Handler — full contact sheets (phones with one-tap call, email, SITA/AFTN, frequency, person of contact). Your selected FBO/handler joins the flight's chat room.
• The + button lets you add missing airports, FBOs or handlers to the directory.

10 · Communication

Chat, live tracker and AI Assistant

• Chat room per operation — everyone serving your flight (crew, FBO, handler) in one thread. Attach images with the clip; Enter sends.
• Live flight tracker — the @ icon in the flight chat opens live ADS-B tracking of the aircraft (registration + hex code). Advisory only; works while the aircraft is transmitting in the air.
• AI Assistant — ask anything about airports, FBOs, handlers, customs, hours, fuel or country requirements; mention the ICAO code for precision. Available while you have an active or scheduled flight. Advisory only — verify with official sources.
